Our Story

After visiting Kenya, our founders, Roland and his late wife Theresa Poirier, were profoundly impacted by the urgent needs they witnessed. During prayer, Roland felt the Lord say: "You Feed Them." The name of our team, ' You Feed Them,' is inspired by the biblical event known as "The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes."

As multitudes gathered to hear Jesus' teachings, His disciples noticed the crowd's hunger and asked Him to send them for food before evening. In response, He instructed, "You feed them." A young boy offered five loaves and two fish.  Jesus blessed the bread and fish and handed it to His disciples.  As they fed the crowd, the loaves and fishes multiplied, satisfying everyone.  

There were even twelve baskets of leftovers! (Luke 9:10-17). The You Feed Them team believes that, like the boy, we can contribute what we have and, with the help of our partners witness God multiply our efforts to feed those

in need - body, mind and spirit.

This mission began with nourishing the soil to cultivate for both people and livestock.  Today lush farms are growing, schools have been built, fresh water flows and medical, dental and vision help is available to all.  Like the loaves and the fishes, God has blessed the efforts of our team.
